Public Involvement

The USACE is developing a Public Involvement Plan to facilitate and promote two-way communication and to encourage community involvement in site-related activities by:

Responding to concerns in a timely manner
Collecting information about the concerns of the community and interested parties
Providing an opportunity for the community to participate in the environmental process
Supplying accurate and timely information about planned actions and progress.

How can you help?

Help strengthen communications between the community and the USACE, and provide your personal input to the review process. We invite you to:

Watch for announcements of upcoming public meetings
Provide your comments on the Public Involvement Plan (late 2006) and the final Recurring Review Report (date TBD)
Visit the local repositories and review the history of the project area

Upcoming community-related activities and public events

Fall 2006: Public Involvement Plan to be released for public comment (details will be added to this list as available - please check back)

Draft Public Involvement Plan and Draft Recurring Review Report documents for Mission Trails are in preparation, and will be posted on this Web site for public review and comment in Spring 2008.
